Finding 24-hour Caregivers in the Portland Metro Area

At Caregiver Connection we recommend a team of 3 or 4 caregivers to cover our 24/7 clients. The benefits of this arrangement are significant: caregivers stay well-rested, balanced and professional, and are able to bring their individual strengths to the job without burning out.

In addition to providing caregivers for the Portland Metro area, Caregiver Connection may be able to serve you with a team for 24-hour care within 2 hours of Portland, such as McMinnville, Scappoose and the Oregon Coast; contact us to find out more.

Finding Live-In Caregivers in the Portland Metro Area

Caregiver Connection does not provide live-in caregivers; that is, a caregiver who gives up a personal residence to move into the care receiver’s home. We find there are significant drawbacks to a live-in caregiver arrangement.

For example, your live-in caregiver may lack personal space and a sense of “down time” when the relief caregiver is there; complications if the caregiver does not work out as planned; and the concerns of a single individual moving in with a potentially vulnerable senior.

If you are still certain that you want a live-in situation, consider the internet-based caregiver searches listed below.
